Of course, you can always feed one of your four co-op compatriots to the spiders while you flee. Considering how many creepy critters are out to get you, being able to make the spiders less scary is a nice touch from Obsidian. The arachnophobia slider is one of the most exceptional features in the game. With a massively tiny world to explore, having a few extra pairs of eyes can make Grounded feel slightly less challenging and lighten the crafting workload.

You can play offline on your own or recruit up to four friends to play together online. The gameplay is somewhat reminiscent of Subnautica, but still offers several distinctive mechanics. Unlike most survival games such as Rust that feature a simple narrative, Grounded has an actual storyline, with quests to complete and mysteries to solve. Instead of dealing with dinosaurs like those in ARK, you’ll be fighting spiders, aphids, and other common garden insects as you try to get back to your normal size. Grounded is an epic survival game scaled down to the size of an ant. It’s an exciting survival game that makes tiny the next big thing. NOT fun to move by myself )Ĭlick here to download the sketchup file.Grounded lets you fight horrors and solve mysteries in your backyard. Coated decking screws, pocket hole screws, bolted, and glued. This isn’t a complete “how to” but I will include a link to the SketchUp file below this post for your reference. The table and seat tops were not a concern. I didn’t want any standing rain water to ruin the legs. Because wood can soak water up from the ground like a sponge I used treated lumber for the legs. Non treated lumber was used for the majority of the build. (note: I added 4 ties under the table tops to hold them together, not in the drawing)īecause the table was going to spend it’s life under a roof there wasn’t much concern with sealing the wood.

UPDATE: Thomas Storzuk was kind enough to put together a set of PDF plans for this picnic table to make it easier for anyone else who wanted to build one. The design I came up with was going to be pretty strong to last a long, long time. They were to be used under a carport for teaching classes at the Mississippi Modern Homestead Center. A while ago I was asked to build a couple large picnic tables.
